VISUAL DIZZINESS – MOTION SICKNESS
Motion sickness or visual dizziness, which is like sea or car sickness, is the light-headed feeling we may have when we travel by car, bus, plane, boat…It may often come with nausea and vomiting.
This is caused by a conflict between the information coming from the visual system and the ear system. It happens due to a problem of the binocular vision or else a deficit in the processing of the central visual information.
SOME SYMPTOMS THAT CAN MAKE US THINK WE MAY HAVE A VISUAL DIZZINESS PROBLEM
Dizziness when reading in a moving car
Dizziness while travelling on the back seat of the car, or when we look backwards or through the side Windows
Dizziness on a swing or on a theme park attraction
Dizziness while watching moving scenes
Dizziness and discomfort being exposed to sunlight, or the light from shop windows and/or street lamps
Dizziness when spinning oneself
Dizziness due to movement
Difficulty to catch a flying object or to kick a ball
Dizziness when moving or turning the head
Discomfort, dizziness or anxiety in crowded places such as a shopping centre
